We’re hiring
Part-Time B2B Sales / Appointment Setter
Were you always the person who made things happen?
Lindenhurst · Weekdays 9:30–2:30 · $23/hr + bonuses + performance upside
Maybe you worked in sales years ago.
Maybe you helped run a family business and were the person who brought customers in, followed up with everybody, remembered everyone’s name and somehow got things done.
Maybe you sold real estate, insurance, advertising, memberships, cars or professional services.
Maybe you’ve spent the last several years focused on your family and you’re ready to use that part of your brain again — without going back to a 50-hour corporate workweek.
We want to meet you.
Your entire job is to create opportunities.
Vitality Medical Marketing Group is looking for one part-time person to help us start conversations with medical practice owners throughout the country.
You don’t close the sale.
Our founder does that.
You find the right people, get their attention, start a real conversation, follow up and get qualified prospects onto his calendar.
That’s your job.
And if you’re good at it, we want you to make considerably more than your hourly wage.
You might be great at this if…
You’re the person who:
- Has no problem talking to someone you’ve never met.
- Can hear “no” without having your day ruined.
- Remembers to follow up when everybody else forgets.
- Is curious about people.
- Can carry a conversation without sounding like you’re reading a script.
- Likes having a scoreboard.
- Gets a little satisfaction out of turning a “not interested” into “okay, tell me more.”
- Has worked around business owners and understands that they’re busy.
- Is comfortable picking up a telephone.
- Likes winning — but doesn’t need to be obnoxious about it.
We don’t particularly care whether you’ve ever had the title SDR.
In fact, some of the best candidates probably haven’t.
Your background might surprise us.
Maybe you’ve:
- Sold something.
- Worked in a family business.
- Owned a small business.
- Worked in a medical office.
- Raised money for an organization.
- Worked in recruiting.
- Handled customer relationships.
- Built a book of clients.
- Worked in real estate, banking, hospitality or insurance.
Or you were simply the person customers asked for because you knew how to talk to people and make things happen.
If that’s you, we care far more about that than whether your résumé contains the perfect buzzwords.
What you’ll actually do
You’ll be given target companies, research tools, technology, training and messaging.
Then you’ll use:
- Phone.
- LinkedIn.
- Email.
- Facebook.
- Direct outreach.
You’ll research prospects.
You’ll figure out who the decision-maker is.
You’ll start conversations.
You’ll follow up.
You’ll qualify interest.
And you’ll schedule conversations with our founder.
No customer service. No administrative work. No client management.
You are here to create new business opportunities.
The hours
Monday through Friday.
Approximately 9:30 AM–2:30 PM.
About 25 hours per week.
In our Lindenhurst office.
No nights.
No weekends.
No bringing work home.
When your day is finished, your day is finished.
Compensation
The money
Base hourly pay
$23/hour
Per qualified meeting that actually takes place
$50
Plus performance upside
When a prospect you originated becomes a paying client, you’ll also be eligible for additional performance compensation tied to the business you helped create.
We don’t want you booking garbage meetings just to hit a number.
We want you finding businesses that could genuinely become great clients.
If you create valuable opportunities for us, you should share in the value you create.
Here’s what we DON’T want.
- Someone who wants to hide behind email all day.
- Someone who considers five outbound calls “a lot.”
- Someone who needs to be constantly reminded to follow up.
- Someone who thinks sales means tricking people into buying things.
- Someone who’s afraid of hearing no.
This probably isn’t the job for you.
How to apply
But if you’re reading this thinking… “I could absolutely do this.”
Good.
That’s who we want to talk to.
You don’t need to send us a five-paragraph cover letter.
Send your résumé and answer one question:
Tell us about a time when you got someone to take your call, meet with you, buy something, hire someone, donate, participate or otherwise say “yes” when they hadn’t planned to.
It can be from a job.
It can be from a family business.
It can even be from your personal life.
We want to hear the story.
Five minutes. No portal, no account to create.
